Important Information & Helpful Advice -

• We ship our packages Monday - Friday for delivery within the same week. We don't allow frozen packages to travel over the weekends or holidays when FedEx is not moving packages. This helps to guarantee that your package will arrive still frozen and in perfect condition.

Shipping Barbecue 101
We use plenty of dry ice and a heavy, reusable, insulated cooler - a packaging combination that will insure your perishable products arrive frozen and in perfect condition. When you place your order, you will have the option to adjust your arrival date based on FedEx available delivery days. The appropriate shipping and handling charge will be applied to your order based on your merchandise amount and the day you wish to have the package delivered. FedEx is our preferred shipping company. Our published shipping rates are based on FedEx rates.

Standard Shipping Method -- FedEx Ground
We use FedEx Ground Service as our standard shipping method. This is made possible by packing all frozen packages with plenty of dry ice to make it to their destination. It also helps that we are centrally located in the middle of the country here in Kansas City. While the vast majority of our orders are able to travel by Ground, some areas do require Express Shipping if the delivery requires more than three days travel from Kansas City based on the destination's distance from a FedEx distribution terminal. The sender is responsible for the associated Express shipping rate. FedEx is our dedicated shipper of frozen packages based upon their excellent service record with us. If you prefer an alternate shipper, we will quote the current shipping rate published by the shipper.

Express Shipping -- FedEx Express
Overnight: For Overnight deliveries, order by 2:00 p.m. (CT) weekdays and your package will arrive by the next day. For business deliveries, Overnight Express is available Monday through Thursday for delivery Tuesday through Friday afternoon. For residential deliveries, Overnight Express is available Monday through Friday for delivery Tuesday through Saturday*. Priority Overnight is also available.
2Day: For 2Day deliveries, order by 2:00 p.m. (CT) weekdays and your package will arrive by the 2nd day. For business deliveries, 2Day Express is available Monday through Wednesday for delivery Wednesday through Friday afternoon. For residential deliveries, 2Day Express is available Monday through Thursday for delivery Wednesday through Saturday*.

*Saturday Express Delivery: Add $15 to both Overnight & 2Day Express charges. Some delivery areas are exempt from Saturday deliveries, so first check with us toll-free at 1-877-419-7427 and we'll be happy to check availability. No frozen packages are delivered on Sunday or Monday.

More Information
Shipping and handling charges are based on the total cost of your merchandise per recipient, per delivery address shipping via FedEx. Multiple orders to multiple recipients at the same address require separate shipping and handling charges since every order is shipped in their own box. A single order to multiple recipients at the same address will be charged a single shipping and handling charge based on the merchandise total.

Hawaii & Alaska Back to Top
Orders to Hawaii and Alaska are of necessity shipped Overnight or 2-Day FedEx Express. In order to defray the additional costs, we add a surcharge of $20 per order to these shipments, in addition to the Express charge. Overnight Express arrives in two days, and 2-Day Express arrives in three days.

Any order received after 2:00 PM Central Time is applied to the following business day. You're welcome to place an order at any time for a future ship date, even months down the road. For urgent orders, you always have the option of having your package arrive earlier than the default arrival date by scheduling a different arrival date.

Presentation-quality Jack Stack shipping Gift Certificates and Gift Cards take the worry out of gift giving. Allow the dear and deserving folks in your life to decide what they want and when they want it delivered. Gift Certificates are an excellent alternative. Delivery Addresses Back to Top
We guarantee delivery only to the addresses we are given. We cannot ship any package to a post office box for the reason that our products are perishable and need to be cared for on the day of their delivery. We also are unable to ship to APO/FPO addresses, addresses outside of the US (except sauces and rubs), and even ultra remote locations inside the US, because experience has shown the inherent travel time is simply too long for perishable products to arrive in perfect condition. Rural Route addresses must include box numbers and a phone number.

Your Responsibilities Back to Top
The accuracy of ship-to addresses and daytime telephone numbers for both the sender and recipient is your responsibility. It is also your responsibility to assure that the folks you are shipping to will be in town to care for their package the day it is delivered. We ship perishable products. While you may have a desire to surprise your recipients, it is tragic to have your gift ruined on their front porch because they are out of town or didn't happen to see a package on their front door step. You don't have to necessarily tell them Jack Stack Barbecue is on it's way, but we do strongly suggest that you let them know a perishable gift is coming. It is essential that someone be available to unpack and care for the order on the day it is delivered.

Due to the perishable nature of our products, we do not require a recipient's signature for delivery at single unit residences as long as the local FedEx delivery driver feels that leaving the package will be safe from prying eyes. All packages contain enough dry ice to survive at least through the evening of their confirmed arrival date.
