How To Place an Order with Jack Stack

For the benefit of first time visitors, there are a few points that will mAmerica's finest BBQ shipped nationwide... with style.ake internet shopping with Jack Stack more effective. Take a few seconds to absorb these orientation notes.  They should help you get what you need faster and at less cost. Whether you are sending a special gift to special folks, or preparing an event at your own place, we want to exceed your expectations. Help us.

1.) Start by choosing a “meal package” containing approximately the quantity and variety of barbecue you want.  For several reasons, meal packages are our base order units. Start with a meal package. Customize your order with ala carte "add-ons"... so much to choose from. Based on experience and testing, they have been created and refined to satisfy the needs of large numbers of customers.

2.) Choose “add-ons” to fine-tune the quantity and variety of your order. You will find a complete list of available add-ons at the bottom of each product (meal package) page.  Click on the add-on title for a larger picture and fuller description of the item.  The overhead costs of packing materials, labor, dry ice, etc. are covered in meal package pricing.  Add-ons are ala carte items designed to help you customize your meal package that we can offer at reduced prices since the meal package has “paid the bills.”  Add-ons cannot be purchased without a meal package.

3.) Your barbecue will be fully cooked, vacuum-sealed and shipped on dry ice. A simple, straightforward “Owner’s Manual” will describe in detail (with options for various types of heating) how to unpack, store, thaw, prepare and heat your barbecue. The process is easy and quick. The end result duplicates at your (or your guest’s) table the award-winning quality, flavor, and elegance you would find at our legendary Kansas City-area restaurants.
The Jack Stack bull.
4.) You can adjust your arrival day to match an important date in the future. Place your order whenever you're ready.  We allow you to schedule a future arrival date up to one year from now, so place your order whenever you're ready. Tips to remember when scheduling a future arrival date: 1) We don't ship over the weekend when FedEx is closed for two straight days. 2) We begin shipping on Monday each week, and all packages are delivered before the weekend. 3) If your shipping charge is too high, it could be that you're not allowing enough time for standard ground delivery. Move your date back later in the same week, or have it delivered the week before if you're looking for a Monday or Tuesday arrival date. The food is frozen and will keep nicely in the freezer or fridge.

5.) If you have any questions at all, call us toll-free at (877) 419-7427 (M-F 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Central; Saturdays 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) for professional guidance.  Your call will be answered promptly. We will give you informed advice about any topic... how to shop our site, detailed product information, how to estimate quantities, shipping hints, etc.  We won’t subject you to a hard-sell... we’re not after your first order; we’re after your tenth order and more.  (Our customers tend to become long term regulars.)

Our Jack Stack catering cohorts tell us, "Having leftovers is better than running out of food." Coming from folks that are right here in town, you sure don't want to run short halfway across the country from us. The Pork Spare Rib is the Classic Kansas City BBQ Rib. The Spare Rib’s bones range from 4 to 6 inches long with the slab weighing over 2 pounds. 9.What exactly is a Burnt End?

Don't let the name fool you, there's nothing "burnt" about them. The name came about because when the meat is left in to barbecue for an extra amount of time, the outer surface, or bark, will take on a darker appearance than normal. Hence, the name Burnt Ends. They can be cubes of beef brisket, pork, ham, and our new Kobe Beef Burnt Ends, which are tender on the inside and lightly seared on the outside. Burnt Ends have always been a Kansas City favorite. Click here for more information on our Burnt Ends.

These links are a Sausage delicacy, and will arguably be the leanest sausage you've tasted in quite awhile. Click here for more information on our Sausage.

16.Why can't I order only Add-Ons?

So that we may offer our Add-On items at a competitive price and value, we require every order to start with a meal package. Some folks wish to order more of our Pork Spare Ribs, while others need to stock-up on Beef Burnt Ends. It's your call. We factor those costs into our meal package prices, so that way you're only paying for your shipping container just once. Not over and over again when purchasing a meal package and then your Add-Ons. This may appear to be a little different than what most people are used to when ordering mail order food, and we understand that sometimes it may lead to some confusion. We consider this pricing format to be a more fair and honest approach with our customers. However, if you've tried and tried, but can't find the perfect match of items online, please feel free to contact us toll-free at 1-877-419-7427. While the web site isn't designed to make substitutions, all of our Customer Care representatives can certainly customize any meal you wish.
