Is the food cooked?
Yes. The food is fully cooked, vacuum-sealed, frozen, and shipped on dry ice in a heavy reusable cooler.

How do I warm the food?
Every box includes an Owner's Manual that describes 3 ways to warm the barbecue and side dishes - microwave, oven, and grill.

Do I have to wait to place my order since I want it delivered later?
No. You can place your order at anytime and you choose the delivery date -- we'll take care of the rest. For online orders, with our unique Jack Stack calendar, it's easy to choose your delivery date.

Can I serve the BBQ the day it arrives?
The food is delivered frozen and will need 24 hrs. to thaw in the fridge. It's best to schedule the BBQ delivery a day or two ahead of your event.

Can I substitute items in the BBQ meal package?
Yes. You can place your online order at JackStackBBQ.com and then send us an email from your Order Confirmation with your changes. Or, call us toll-free at 1-877-419-7427 (M-F 7am-7pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 10am-5pm) and we'll gladly assist you in placing your order.

Do you have any special offers at this time?

Can I purchase more barbecue than what's in my BBQ meal package?
Yes. Once you've chosen a BBQ meal package, you're taken to your Shopping Cart which is where we display all of our specially-priced Add-On barbecue meats, side dishes, individual sauces and rubs. Simply click on the image of the item you like and it's added to your order.

Can I place an order for just the specially-priced Add-Ons?
Yes. Call us toll-free at 1-877-419-7427
(M-F 7am-7pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 10am-5pm) and we'll assist you with placing your order. There is a $75 minimum merchandise amount when ordering a la carte. Standard shipping rates will then be added based on the total merchandise amount of each order.

I'm sending this as a gift. Do you contact my recipient to let them know?
No, but we highly suggest you arrange to make sure they're not out-of-town when the package is expected to arrive and are able to care for the package the day it arrives. If ordering online, we do offer you the chance to send a Gift Email Announcement to your recipient's email address letting them know they have a gift of barbecue arriving from Kansas City.

Do I need to be home to accept the delivery?
No. FedEx is instructed to leave the package hidden on the doorstep if nobody answers the door when they arrive. This is the best way to ensure timely deliveries and also that the barbecue is cared for on the day it arrives.

Can we keep the food in the freezer until we plan on serving the meal?
Yes.
The barbecue is delivered frozen and can go directly into the freezer for up to 6 months. Pull the food from the freezer and place in the fridge at least 24 hrs. before your planned meal. Once the food has been thawed, we suggest that it is consumed within a timely manner, 3 - 4 days.

Did You Know ...

...  that our barbecue is a wonderful gift, but try to avoid it being a surprise gift. If sending as a gift, be sure your lucky recipient is aware that a perishable package is arriving soon so that they may care for it the same day it arrives.

...  Sundays & Mondays are never available as an arrival date, since we never ship perishables over the weekend when FedEx is closed for two straight days.

...  If you're choosing an arrival date that's early in the week, it may require Express Delivery to meet you needs because we start shipping each week on Mondays and all barbecue packages are delivered within that same week. We never ship any perishables over the weekend when FedEx is closed for two straight days. To avoid this up-charge, try choosing a day later in the week, or choose an arrival date in the preceding week, if possible.

Order Day & Same Day Shipping

•  Order before 2:00 PM Central and we can have your order shipped that same day. Any order received after 2:00 PM Central Time is applied to the following business day. You're welcome to place an order at any time for a future arrival date, even months down the road. For urgent orders, you always have the option of having your package arrive earlier than the default arrival date by scheduling a different arrival date via Overnight or 2-Day Express Service. If your need is urgent, call us, and we’ll make every reasonable effort to get your order in and out that same day... after 2:00 PM, however, we can’t guarantee it. Under reasonable circumstances, we try to make miracles happen.
